Applications are due by 12 noon on Tuesday, 18 January 2022, in order to be considered for Start-up Visa endorsement in the final round of applications.
After this round, the Careers Service will no longer be offering endorsements. However, those still hoping to apply for the Start-up Visa, other endorsing bodies can be found on the gov.uk website.
The University of Oxford Careers Service invites all those who wish to stay in the UK to develop their business ideas and who meet the eligibility criteria, to apply for University endorsement. We are keen to support entrepreneurship and all types of businesses are considered for endorsement.
In order to be considered you must:
- Have received, or will receive, your degree from the University of Oxford, or
- Be working at Oxford as a postgraduate with a Tier 2 visa, or
- Be working at the University as research staff.
In addition to this each business plan must demonstrate innovation, viability and scalability.

You must attend a virtual discussion before you submit your application in order for it to be considered. Discussion slots are available from 14:00-16:30 every weekday through 14 January 2022. Email startup.visa@careers.ox.ac.uk to book.
Interviews on Tuesday, 15 February 2022
If invited, you must attend an interview in order to be considered for endorsement. All interviews will be conducted virtually.
